Dr. Michael Kothakota is a financial planning practitioner and researcher. He is co-founder of WolfBridge Wealth and holds a Masters in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University and Ph.D. in Personal Financial Planning from Kansas State University. His research focuses on financial planning practice, divorce, and methods. His work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including the Financial Planning Review, Journal of Financial Therapy, the Journal of Financial Planning and Counseling, and the Journal of Financial Planning. He currently is the academic editor of the Journal of Financial Planning, is a lecturer at Columbia University, former professor at New York University, Kansas State University and the University of Georgia. Dr. Kothakota has presented internationally on topics related to financial risk, marital dissolution and statistical methods. He hold numerous certifications and designations including as a CFP(R) professional.
